“For me the tree is a special manifestation of the spiritual forces of nature with its own soul. It is worshiped in all cultures and at all times and the fate of humanity has always been linked to it: birth, growth, reproduction and death.

Facing a tree or a forest, I have the feeling that they speak, breathe and live in another space-time continuum. It's like they are repeating a meditative mantra.

In Chile, I crossed an "Araucaria" primeval forest in the region "Araucania" and felt transported in a fascinating world of primeval and sublime giants. I want to create an awareness of nature, a feeling of respect and the reliability to protect it.
The installation "Alma" is based on repetition and meditation.
More than 3,000 individual pieces, each marked and cutted, are sewn together to form a large abstract textile structure.

This structure retotates around a symbolic center that symbolizes blood and life, is connected to the cosmos and slowly turns on "the wheel of life". The audio part of the installation consists of natural sounds from wind and birds.

Listening for the moment is here most important, listening to the "here and now".
Impressions of the "Araucaria" jungle, that I have traveled, are mapped as an expansive projection over the structure of the huge dress.

Für mich stellt der Baum eine besondere Manifestation der spirituellen Naturkräfte mit einer eigenen Seele dar. Er wird in allen Kulturen und zu allen Zeiten verehrt und das Schicksal der Menschheit war immer mit ihm verbunden: Geburt, Wachstum, Fortpflanzung und Tod.

Vor dem Antlitz eines Baumes oder eines Waldes, habe ich das Gefühl, dass diese sprechen, atmen und in einem anderen Raum-Zeit-Kontinuum leben. Es ist, als wiederholen sie ein meditierendes Mantra.

In Chile durchquerte ich einen „Araucaria“ Urwald in der Region „Araucania“ und fühlte mich dabei in einer faszinierenden Welt der urzeitlichen und erhabenen Riesen versetzt. Ich möchte ein Bewusstsein für die Natur schaffen, sie zu respektieren und die Verantwortung sie zu schützen. Die Installation „Alma“ basiert auf Wiederholung und Meditation. Mehr als 3.000 Einzelteile, die jeweils markiert und geschnitten sind, wurden zu einer großen, abstrakten Textil-Struktur zusammen genäht.

Dieses Gebilde rotiert um ein symbolisches Zentrum, das Blut und Leben symbolisiert, das mit dem Kosmos verbunden ist und sich langsam auf „dem Rad des Lebens“ dreht. Der Klang der Installation besteht aus Windgeräuschen und zwitschernden Vögeln. Dabei steht das Hören für den Moment, dem „Hier und Jetzt“ im Vordergrund.

Aufnahmen (oder Impressionen) des „Araucaria“ Urwaldes, den ich bereist habe, werden als raumgreifende Projektionen auf die Struktur des überdimensionalen Kleides übertragen.

“Para mí, los árboles, representan una manifestación especial de las fuerzas espirituales de la naturaleza con alma propia. Es venerado en todas las culturas desde el inicio de los tiempos. El destino de la humanidad siempre ha estado relacionado con ellos: Nacimiento, crecimiento, reproducción y muerte.

Ante un árbol o un bosque, tengo la convicción-sensación, de que hablan, respiran y viven en un continuo espacio-tiempo diferente, como si repitieran un mantra de meditación.

Cuando estuve en Chile, atravesé un bosque milenario de "araucarias“, en la región de la Araucanía y me sentí transportada a un mundo fascinante de gigantes primitivos y sublimes. En aquel lugar, se respiraba el paso de los siglos y fue, ciertamente, una experiencia sobrecogedora. ¡Son tan fuertes! Y están ahí, estoicos, sólo para enseñarnos a volver a nuestras raíces y entregarnos valores milenarios, como el respeto. Es indispensable crear conciencia hacia a la naturaleza y, a su vez, asumir la responsabilidad de protegerla. La instalación "Alma", se basa en la repetición y la meditación. Son más de 3.000 piezas, cada una de ellas marcada y cortada, que se han cosido, para formar una gran estructura textil abstracta. 

Esta estructura, gira en torno a un centro, que simboliza la sangre de estos bosque nativos no respetados, que a la vez es vida, conectada con el cosmos y girando lentamente en "la rueda de la vida".

El sonido de la instalación Alma, se grabó en estos bosques nativos. Está formado por sonidos del viento y el canto de los pájaros. La atención se centra en escuchar el momento, el "aquí y ahora".

La gran proyección que cubre a "Alma", son impresiones de estos bosques nativos de araucarias, imágenes que fueron tomadas en esta locación privilegiada, desde el amanecer hasta el anochecer.”
